Who We Are

Here at Prime Time we offer more, dollar for dollar than any other guide service on Kerr Lake and Buggs Island and the species we specialize in. We offer trips 12 months out of the year, 7 days a week for multiple species and multiple bodies of water. We do half-day, full-day, and extended day trips to accomodate everyone's needs, no matter the size of the party.

We have a No Catch - No Pay policy if you book one of our four full-day guarentee packages. These packages are for Catfish, Crappie, and White Perch excersions.




Our most popular Kerr Lake and Buggs Island package is the Variety Trip! During this trip we have the opportunity to catch any of the species that we target. We will switch our tactics to target different species throughout the day. Our first target fish will depend on which species are most active at that time and season. Definitely the trip to book to see what the body of water we are fishing has to offer, and to hopefuly end up with a cooler full of great eating fish. Appropriate for all skill levels and ages.

We provide all of this to ensure that your time and hard-earned money is not wasted if you choose to book a trip with us. We will do everything in our power to give you the best opportunity for success and an overall great experience to make memories that will last a lifetime.

The Species Offered!

  • White Perch Trip

    A great eating fish that we typically catch in large numbers. Perfect fish for kids and beginners because they are eager to bite the hook. Some rigs we use we can catch multiple fish per rod!

  • White Bass Trip

    Guarenteed No Catch or No Pay for Full Day Trips Only Great fighting fish for its size and great table fare. We tend to catch these with White Perch and Striped Bass. Typically, the fish we catch range from one to three pounds.

  • Variety Fishing Trip

    Guarenteed No Catch or No Pay for half and full day trip on Kerr Lake and Buggs Island. The best bang for your buck. These trips are full of rod-bending action from start to finish from different species. If you are looking to fill a cooler with multiple species, using a variety of techniques, this is the trip for you.

  • Catfish Trip

    Guarenteed No Catch or No Pay for Full Day Trips Only We catch Channel, Blue, and Flathead Catfish. Great fish to target all year. Not uncommon to catch multiple of these each day, ranging from 20 to 50 pounds each. During certain times of the year, we will boat 50+ fish in a day.

  • Crappie Trip

    Guarenteed No Catch or No Pay for Full Day Trips Only. A great fish to target all year long. We mainly target these fish on Falls Lake and Kerr Lake. We have many trips throughout the year where we will boat 100 to 200+ fish a day! We catch multiple fish in the 2-3 pound range each year.

  • Largemouth Bass Trip

    There is NOT a No Catch to Pay Policy for this trip. We typically only use live bait on our largemouth trips, which drastically increases your chances that fish of a lifetime. Trips are based on Falls Lake due to large number of trophy-sized fish. These trips begin mid-May and run only through September.

  • Striped Bass Trip

    There is NOT a No Catch to Pay Policy for this trip. One of the hardest fighting fish you can catch in a lake, which will give you an excellent meal to take home. We fish for these on Lake Kerr, Lake Gaston, and Roanoke Rapids Reservior.

  • White Perch Trip

Trip Information

  • A valid inland or freshwater fishing license is REQUIRED for anyone 16 years and older. Please check NC Wildlife Resources Commission's Website for more information.
  • All rods, reels, tackle and bait will be provided for your trip. Life jackets will also be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you wish to do so.
  • You can bring anything you would like to eat or drink on the boat. This includes alcoholic beverages, if someone appears to be intoxicated to the point I feel it is a safety issue, we will return back to the dock. There is room in the boat for small to medium-sized coolers and bags.
  • Check the weather before your trip. You are responsible for rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen, or anything else to keep you comfortable during your trip. We can fish in the rain, but not in, around, or anywhere near close to lightning.
  • If weather appears to be an issue, we will reach out to one or two days before your trip.
  • Payment is due at the end of the trip, the following methods of payment are accepted:
